Application

The last cohort eligible for EDEEM fellowships funded by the European Union (EACEA) was the cohort joining the EDEEM program in 2015.

EDEEM continues to accept students to the program in future years.

According to the NEW application procedure future EDEEM fellows are recruited individually at the different EDEEM partner universities

This means that new EDEEM applicants are considered only if they are proposed by two EDEEM partner universities and have confirmed supervisors at each of these universities. Therefore any potential EDEEM applicant needs to get in contact with the planned supervisors at the two intended partner universities in order to discuss the plan for the doctoral thesis topic. Only if the supervisors have confirmed their willingness to advise the applicant the local EDEEM coordinators at the two host universities should be contacted to obtain their support for joining the EDEEM program. If the two host universities support your application the final acceptance to EDEEM needs the approval of the Joint Doctoral Board in which all EDEEM partner universities are represented.

Please note that neither the EDEEM coordination nor the local EDEEM coordinators have the capacity to search for suitable supervisors for applicants. Hence, general applications sent either to the local EDEEM coordinators or the EDEEM coordination will not be treated.
